Introduction to the Project


The project is entitled ‘ESTABLISHING WOMEN’S FIRST RIGHT TO WATER RESOURCES’ and is being executed by PSSS with support from the European Union.

Overall goals and objectives

The overall goal of this project is to reduce the vulnerability of the community by securing water management through women’s participation in three districts of the Bundelkhand region that fall in Uttar Pradesh – Lalitpur, Jalaun and Hamirpur.

Project Partners

PSSS is a non-governmental and non-profit organisation, based in Orai in Jalaun district, Uttar Pradesh, which  works for the marginalised and deprived sections of society in remote, drought-affected regions of Bundelkhand.

The only women's features syndicate in India, the Delhi-based WFS generates  content on themes and concerns not usually highlighted by the mainstream media.
